We are pleased to present another inspiring story of our course participant Kinga, a high school student who dared to reach for more!

Our heroine took the Girls Go IT course: Java, deciding to take it for very specific reasons - she previously only knew the basics of C++ in the console version, and learning object-oriented programming on her own proved more difficult than she expected. She found out about the course from her high school computer science teacher, and thanks to the fact that our classes are always held in a convenient online format, she was able to easily reconcile her participation with her studies at school.

During the course she learned not only the basics of Java programming, but also how to work on a larger project. She learned the practical aspects of working with the Git version control system, creating commits, pull requests and planning the next stages of the project. As she says, it gave her a solid foundation and motivated her to continue her studies in computer science.

But that's not all - she decided to test her skills in practice by participating in hackathons, where she had the opportunity to write code in teams and gain new experience. The effort paid off - it was thanks to these activities that she received her first job offer in the IT industry as a Data Analyst.

Kinga's story shows that even while still in high school, you can start building your future in IT. We hope that her example will inspire other girls who are still hesitating whether this is the path for them as well.

Congratulations and we keep our fingers crossed for further career development in IT!
